Restorative Yoga is a physical yoga practice, which is based on Iyengar Yoga
Learning the art of restorative yoga and deep relaxation benefits all of the organ systems of the body.
Here are some of the measurable benefits of restorative yoga:

Restorative Yoga has therapeutic value when someone is injured or not feeling well or overtired. Lower back pain? Headache? Hotflashes? PMS? Burned out from work? Learning supported poses allows your body to reap the benefits of traditional poses without zapping your energy, taxing your muscles or re-injuring yourself.
Yoga for everyone and every body type using props:
Props used in restorative yoga include blankets, bolsters, blocks, straps and eye pillows. These props create an environment that helps students safely and comfortably approach postures that would otherwise be impossible, painful, difficult or ineffective. If formal yoga props are not available, you can improvise with pillows, blankets, couch cushions or even books (instead of blocks).
Props allow us to have all of the relaxation support essentials in place; safety and support, warmth, and darkness. These essentials allow us to unwind from our daily and common stressors, coffee, and drugs (i.e. antidepressants) that effect the nervous system. We want to restore the mind/body balance; restorative yoga can achieve relaxation and its benefits using only body and breath!
Fact; You can’t be stressed out and relaxed simultaneously.
Restorative Yoga will make you more efficient. Restorative Yoga will make you more innovative and creative.
Once a student has learned the art of dynamic relaxation, you can then learn to experience a higher perspective. Later, you will be more refreshed and without fatigue to prioritize your tasks and act on your brilliant innovative and creative thoughts and ideas!!
